Almost all of us want people to like or respect us. We are crafted by a God that wants fellowship and relationships, so we naturally seek that. Unfortunately we believe our joy depends on affirmation from others. This leads to dissapointment and a continual cycle of shame. We can turn this belief around, and learn to accept that our best is more than enough. And that living a life of higher purpose, with integrity, honesty and compassion is both beautiful and purposeful. Every one of us is special, unique and loved by God.
